«b»Mlýn Levín«/b» - Mlýn byl poháněn vodou z panského rybníka zvaného Dačický, jenž v zimě sloužil jako komorový k chovu ryb a v tomto období z něj proto mohlo jít na mlýn méně vody. V r. 1687 zbudoval mlynář Jiří Vaneš na rybníku splav a obdržel od lišovské obce 1 strych žita, vědro piva a 14 zlatých, příštím rokem 9 zlatých za to, že ve mlýně zhotovil hranice.
Roku 1732 je uváděn mlynář Blažej Votruba a v r. 1738 se za nájemce hlásí Vít Pichler a zároveň nabídl Žid Antonín Stein obci, že mlýn koupí a uvede stavení do pořádku, byl však zamítnut. V r. 1753 ho najímal Augustin Charvát. Dne 16. října 1779 žádal Josef Kozimák od lišovské rady, aby jím koupený Podlevínský mlýn byl mu připsán v městských knihách. Josef Kozimák prodal mlýn 21. října 1784 Petru Kočvarovi. V r. 1790 za něj platil roční nájem 30 zlatých Jan Šmíd, který ho r. 1802 s povolením lišovské obce přestavěl na dvě složení. Roku 1816 získal mlýn František Šmíd. Dalším majitelem byl r. 1855 Matěj Bican, jenž tehdy od obce koupil 1350 sáhů, sousedících s jeho pozemky, za 90 zlatých.
Svatební smlouvou převzali mlýn v r. 1864 František a Kateřina Panských, K jejichž dceři Kateřině se r. 1882 přiženil «b»Jan Doubek«/b» z Přeborova na Milevsku. Jan a Kateřina postoupili mlýn v r, 1914 svému synu «b»Františku«/b» a jeho manželce Marii. Roku 1934 zdědil jej syn «b»Karel Doubek«/b».
Po rodu Doubků, kteří mlýn zvelebili, ho získal Jan Steinocher, jenž tu v r. 1947 zřídil vodní turbínu od firmy B. Kučera z Prahy, avšak již rok na to byl mlýn znárodněn. Poblíže turbíny je na zdi vyryt letopočet 1900, pravděpodobně z doby rekonstrukce.

Good-looking cousin Věra had an illustrious life. At 21 years, in January 1948, she married Karel DOUBEK, a former mill owner in Černošice u Prahy (I was at their wedding in Prague). Immediately after, they escaped across the communist Czech border to West Germany. They were detained for a year in a German refugee camp, and went on to the USA where they settled in Omaha, Nebraska. While we did not keep in contact much, I visited with them there once, driving from London, Ontario in snowy 1968. They had 3 children, 2 boys (Charlie and Phillip) and the youngest ILKA, an international balet dancer, with whom we met later several times.
Věra managed to get her father Jaroslav (I) join them from Czechoslovakia in 1965(?) and he lived with them, quite oblivious to the US circumstances, until the age of 95 (†1982).

DOUBEK, Věra Libuše (89) of Plano, TX passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Vera was born June 8, 1926 in Budweis, Czechoslovakia to Jaroslav and Libuse Zatka. Vera was married to Karel Doubek in 1948 until his passing in 1984. Shortly after their wedding in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Karel was warned that he would soon be arrested for his anti-Communist activities. That same evening, in the cover of darkness, Vera and her husband escaped on foot over a heavily guarded border into West Germany where they were given amnesty. Residing in a refugee camp for nearly a year, they requested and were eventually granted political asylum in the USA. Known for her cooking and baking talent, Vera and Karel owned and operated the Old Vienna Cafe in Omaha, NB and later Bohemia Restaurant in Dallas, TX. Her Czech Svickova was a family favorite. She instilled a strong work ethic in her children and possessed a positive attitude living by the motto "Family is Everything." Vera and her supportive, nurturing compassion will be missed very much. She is survived by her 3 children, Charles Doubek, Phillip Doubek with his wife Bonnie and Ilka Doubek Fox with her husband Tom Fox. In addition, she has 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Kathrine and Charles (Matthew) Doubek, Phillip Doubek Jr., and Lida Fox. Grand-pa Bohumil (II) Volesky worked hard on having them released and eventually succeeded in liberating only father Jaroslav (I) ZÁTKA. Sadly, mother LIBUŠE VOLESKÁ-Zátková never returned and perished in Osvětim (Auschwitz) concentration camp. They were not jewish at all - but the ZÁTKAs were targeted as an influential and patriotic south-Bohemian (České Budějovice) family.
While I encountered Jára and Věra on occasions in Praha, I did not quite know their father Jaroslav as he lived 'far away' in České Budějovice, persecuted further and hard by the communist regime that also confiscated all his large flour mill facility in Březí by České Budějovice.
My uncle Jaroslav ZÁTKA came from a well-to-do large and influential south-Bohemian family, owned and operated a large flour mill facility in B?ezi by České Budějovice. He was quite a dashing but quiet character - an avid outdoorsman and hunter, owner of a hunting lodge in the area of Užhorod (Transcarpathian Russia, east of Slovakia). When young, he was visiting Praha once, by chance encountered and totally charmed Libuše who was engaged to be married shortly. They eloped, went hiding for a while, emerging to get married soon in České Budějovice.

«b»Jaroslav Ferdinand ZÁTKA«/b» - narozený 11. srpna 1887 v Českých Budějovicích. Ve svém mládí byl znám jako motocyklový a automobilový závodník a nadaný lovec. Dne 23. dubna 1923 se v Kamenném Újezdě oženil s Libuší, rozenou Voleskou. Společně měli dvě děti \endash Jaroslava a Věru. Manželé byli rovněž zatčeni gestapem. Jaroslav 20. ledna 1942 za držení vojenské munice a z poslechu zahraničního rozhlasu, načež byl odsouzen na 3 roky, které si odseděl v Griebu, Bayreuthu a Creussenu. Jeho žena takové štěstí neměla. V půlce února 1942 byla zatčena gestapem a odvezena do Terezína a následně do koncentračního tábora v Osvětimi, kde 9. prosince 1942 zahynula. Jejich majetek byl samozřejmě zkonfiskován Němci.

Perished in Auschwitz concentration camp:
As a member of a leading and patriotic South-Bohemia Zatka family member she was arrested early in 1942 in the reprisal sweep (after Heydrich assassination in Praha) by German gestapo. However, she was released - only to get arrested shortly again in Budejovice by German Gestapo.
Following the second arrest she was sent toTerezin and later to Osvecim (Auschwitz) where she was killed by Germans.
